Ardent’s Cafe Bar
Ardent’s Cafe Bar is nested along the old refurbished houses along Neil Road. We popped by around 4pm on Sunday and it was surreal. We only had to share the place with about 2 groups of patrons. Very charming place with a tad bit of homey feel.
Eggs Montreal ($16.80)
two eggs poached on a toasted english muffin with salmon & hollandaise sauce
Beautifully presented, deliciously poached eggs (in my opinion), crunchy toast and fresh salmon. The portion for this dish is just nice for my appetite. I finished the dish, sparkling clean, right down to the last drop of the oozing egg yolk in about 5 minutes. Total satisfaction.
Eggs Blackstone ($14.80)

They serve pretty good bacon here. I still love my Eggs Montreal because of the salmon (haha) but this is not bad either. Love the way the egg yolk oozes out and over the muffin. Yummy!
Plain Rosti with Sour Cream ($7.80)
I love their ROSTI! I love the rosti to bits and pieces and all over again and again and again and again… and again! I first fell in love with Rosti many years back in high school when Marche was “the” place to dine. Ardent’s Rosti? So much better than that which Marche now offers, I say! I love this plate of carbohydrates with scrambled eggs and bacon; $2 for each add-on.
